That is why I always listen to my own CDs whenever I play this game. Not all of it is bad, but the majority of it is. I only got one negative comment and it's the music. It's kind of stupid that some game critics have panned this as "ridiculous". These are a really big help in this game since the attachments make things that would have been impossible in the first game as simple as cake. Water, driving on snow, and trying to get things in hard-to-reach places are no longer a problem with the new "attachments" which include skis & treads, water propellers, and hover devices. This is probably the greatest improvement in the game. Now you are almost fully able to interact with them. The environments seem to have been improved the most. An example would be on the Utah level where you can ski down the slope and get a cache of weapons as a reward. Another big improvement on some of the new levels is that there are some neat little mini-missions to do. Also a big improvement on the levels is that you are no longer confined to just the American southwest. After it reads it, youll get a message that says 'Vigilante 8 levels Unlocked' Then put V8: 2nd Offense back in and on the level select screen. Close the Playstation lid and let the PSX read the CD. Now put in the original Vilgilante 8 game CD. They are bigger and there is a lot more stuff to blow up. To get the original Vigilante 8 levels, pause the game during play and take out V8: 2nd offense CD. They are HUGE! The levels like the game, have been vastly improved since the original.

The reason I like them so much is because they can be upgraded into something more "modernized". Second the cars which I are the best thing about this game. Second Offense is such a vast improvement over the original in many ways not just in control, but in terms of gameplay as well. Now the good things about "Vigilante 8: Second Offense". There are more characters, bigger levels, and the best part about it: upgradable vehicles! I won't even go into the story because it's too confusing to understand and doesn't really matter anyway. Multiplayer is also included: the PlayStation version allows two players (four in the Nintendo 64 version) to go head-to-head.This is definitely better than the first "Vigilante 8" game. Unlockables include two hidden levels (three in the Nintendo 64 version) and five hidden characters and cars. Players can choose from eight characters with different agendas, and select vehicles ranging from classic 1970's muscle cars to a school bus, each stacked high with various kinds of weapons. Vigilante 8 is a vehicular combat game similar to Twisted Metal in concept.
